Last year one of the guys I go rockhounding with(not Woodyrock or Mossyrockhound this time) convinced me to go over by Ellensburg and look for some Ellensburg Bue agate. We didn't find any Blue, but I did happen to find this very unique(especially for Washington) Thunderegg. I didn't know how unique it was until I cut it open. The outside just showed some red agate in one small area. It is about 4" in diameter, and I polished the faces. The two thin lines running through the faces are actually agate lines www.gametrails.com/images/1stCreekThunderegg 1.JPG[/img] www.gametrails.com/images/1stCreekThunderegg 2.JPG[/img] Enjoy chasfire

That's really cool. I've never seen one where the halves are so different.

That's a great looking egg! I've never seen another one with two materials so different in the same matrix. It even looks cooler "in person". Garry

Always amazes me, well by now it shouldn't anymore but it still does, the variety that nature can create!

That is a sweet find. It looks like sky and ocean on the top and red hot molten lava under the earth.

Very unusual thunderegg find. Cannot wait until I can get over on the coast to do some rockhunting.
