I did a new style on two of these, anyhow, the first 6 are for a "customer", he sent me home today with 35 more cabs to wrap!!! He might end up paying my house off one of these days ;D Here are three in-progress pics of the first one, this is a beautiful piece of Montana moss agate..... Willow Creek, another beautiful piece (and a new style of wrapping for me)...... This is Kentucky agate the colors are amazing. It's the rock that he "specializes" in.... Another Kentucky agate..... Here's a Koriot (boulder opal), he said that he has had this piece of 30 years and just now started cutting on it!! Not sure what this one is..... These next three are my cabs, the first one is my "new style" again, this was cut from a rock that Jamie sent....... I did this one for Cathy's mom. She picked out the cab and said that she wanted it wrapped, but without the fancy swirls at the top.... Here's the back.... And finally, here's a Stone Canyon jasper. This is my first wrap from this rock..... How did I do? ;D lol

Randy: They look super! I am not fond of horizontal cabs for myself, but after seeing yours and the one Jo did, I am thinking the wrapping really makes them super. I love the Montana and the one for Mom. The stone canyon looks like a butterfly on top, very beautiful. That KY agate is nice material, love the yellows in it! Amber

Ohhh my, those are really super. I love the first one......cab and wrap and also the second to last one. To be honest, I didnt see that it said "this is the back". I thought it was another wrap. i think a wrap would look good like that as the "front". Oh.....I also really like the swirls on the Stone Canyon, like Amber said..it looks like a butterfly. Shannon

I'm IN LOVE with the first one! The stone is superb, and the wrap is perfect for it. IMO, that's you're finest piece to date ... put you in a whole new league. Awesome.

Randy, that montana moss is amazing! Did you cut the cab? What I love about what you've been doing is that you keep the scroll work away from the face of the cabs so that it doesn't draw attention away from the rocks. Man..... I can't take my eyes away from that montana moss! Keep em' coming-you are an inspiration! KJ

Randy, those are just too sweet .... that first one sure is an awesome piece of montana moss, and you sure did it justice ( of course )!!! ... is it just me or isn't your " new style " a little similar to Jo's Mozarkite wrap? lol, just kidding ;D... hey, they say ( whoever " they " is ), great minds think alike!!!

Thanks y'all! hey, they say ( whoever " they " is ), great minds think alike!!! Yeah, "great minds"..... I'm the village idiot. ;D Karen- I didn't cut any of the freeforms, they were all cut and polished by my friend "Bill". I just met this guy at the last club meeting (Tidewater Gem and Mineral Society), he's super cool, and he also has the most amazing collection of rocks, mineral specimens, and slabs that I've ever seen. He's been doing this stuff since the 70's!!

WOW! I like the teeny tiny Kentucky agate. Your wrap really emphasizes the shape to me, with everything culminating at that point on the bottom...

And I like the "new style" of horizontal wrap...you're getting very good at this, Ydnar! That first Kentucky Agate is my fave, though.

You said you did 9 wraps...where are the other 8 wraps? I just couldn't get past that first one!
That was the bestest, most beautifulest one! (I did see the others, but I had a hard time not scrolling back up to that one!!!! - the stone almost looks manmade.... I'M in awe of your work!
