the box was rescued and taken across the street to the Museum of Science and Industry MOSI in Tampa. There is an office of FPAN, the Florida Public Arhcaeology Network there and it was used as hands on for the public to see and touch. My good arch friend was the head arch guy there for that. Its a new thing the state is getting started. They work with the public on sites and artifacts and info. He went with me 2 years to the schools when I would do the great american teach-in. I have been doing those for years now. He brought a power point presentation for the kids to see on Florida archaeology. They will also work with scout troops for their archaeology merit badges as well

I just saw this. I'm glad the box was rescued. Those Teach-ins must be very rewarding for you. Kids love this stuff and the hands on is the best way to teach imo.

Holy meg teeth, Batman! I'd say you're one lucky collector if I didn't know it's hard work that uncovers the good stuff, not luck. Hella cool stuff. That coral head stuff looks neat, bet it would tumble.
