Just finished it tonight, black obsidian. My son got this one for his rock collection. Its kind of a Angostura style (or as close as I could get) which the Sask Achaeological societys handbook say was being made here in Saskatchewan about 7500 yrs ago. If I'm reading it correctly.

Nice job, looks like you pried some serious flakes off there. Wish I could find one that well formed on one of the Camps I hunt down here !
Did you have any leaks ?
I was working a small piece of Polish Flint last night and bottomed out my flaker in the palm of my left hand. Gotta take time out for a day or two.

No leaks Harley, I'm not as tough as you, I wear a leather glove on my left hand with a bigger leather glove with no fingers over it. I use the pad you sent me on top of that. I can ram my flaker into my palm and not even feel it. I have been thinking about cutting the fingers off of the first glove though to get better control. I tried knapping without a glove once, that was enough for me.

That's a beaut! I'm taking a knapping break as my last three sessions yielded only junk and sore fingers. I may drag out some obsidian slabs so I can try some nice pressure flaking and maybe turn out a piece as nice as yours......Mel
