Helluva story, Vance. And to think it lay around in a box, covered with dirt, for four years!! How often does 'junk' like that get thrown out? Florida crowd can stop bitchin' about no rocks for a little while. ;D Rich

My Gem Society is getting ready to celebrate the 40th anniv. of the excavation and assemble of Sue, the mastodon from palm Beach county, currently at the S. Florida Science Museum. This discovery pales what the club did 40 years ago...

check it out dudes, this is from the Waller interview lournal of 83 of the fl. anthropology journal. This piece was CARVED MAMMOTH TUSK was found in 1916 in VERO
