... Did they have tractors in those days? I'm not even sure whether cave men had been invented yet ;D But this sure looks like the remnants of a prehistoric stone tractor wheel. Can anyone please give me a better name for it. Thanks in advance.

*S* It's a segment of a scaphite or hamite shell, one of the partially uncoiled group of ammonoids. They're ancient cephalopods or squid relatives.....Mel

Sabre .... is that the whole piece or segment of a much larger piece?
Or is it/was it .... something long and tube shaped?
It really is an interesting piece.

Yes,that is part of an ammonite....................My books are packed away,or I could tell you what ammonite it was.................Nice piece...
