Here are a few of the points I have knapped. I just started this summer, but have not really had much time to knap, or cab, or, or. Well anyhow I have been having some fun with this, and have actually been able to produce points that would hurt something...........other than my fingers. I have of course learned the hard way to NOT sweep the flakes off anything with bare hands. A basanite point A midnightlace point..without lace A silver Sheen point Same point different angle

Lookin' good Woody! I bet I know why you don't carry those around in your pocket. Hopefully I can see them in person next time I come over.

Well made points, I envy you out there because of your close proximity to good knapping material ! The limestone we have here is rather hard to deal with. The base end of the Silver Sheen is eye catching, I am going to have to work on one of those and the back of the hand flake brushing I can relate to also. Those teeny-tiny sharper than razor cuts seem to bleed FOREVER before they stop leaking !

Harley:
A lot of local knappers use superglue for obsidain cuts. There is a medical grade for cut repair, but the knappers all use the regular stuff.

Woody,
I am on to the Krazy Glue , even have a tube of liquid stiches in my tool box down at the Blacksmith shop. A one layer wrap of Duct Tape on the first and second fingers of the holding hand , first joint up, is a good bit of insurance ! Those two digits seem to get the most abuse.
