My wife and I took my grandson fossil hunting last weekend. My grandson ran off before I got pics of what he found, but here is some stuff I found. Grandson was not interested in much except shark teeth which he found about 8 or 10. Made my day and his. Mosasaur bones Bison and horse teeth Couple of shark teeth and two fish jaw fragments Mammoth tooth fragment I've been wanting something Mammoth for a very long time and you might know my wife found this fragment. She does it every time. "Is this anything dear?" ;D Curt

Very cool, Curt. Is any of that stuff solid enough to tumble (assuming it isn't specimen quality of course)

Yeah Todd, the bone fragments could be tumbled. The ones that look like just a rock and have no way of being identified may get polished one of these days.

WOW Curt, you found a mammoth tooth! Cool, even if it's not entire it's amazing. Among the bones, I like that small complete one Shark teeth are cool, too. Great thing you were able to take your grandson into the hobby and even greater you managed the same thing with Lady Adrian

All of this was found in a river bed in NE Texas. There was once a shallow ocean that went up through Texas, Kansas, and on up all the way to Canada.
The reptile, fish and shark fossils came from the Cretaceous ( about 65 MYA. ) The mammal fossils are from the Pleistocene ( about 10,000 to one million YA.)
