Christa and I took a trip down to Quartzsite today to check out the goodies at the Desert Gardens show. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warmed up to mid 60's. Snapped a few pics so we could take you all along
Almost there, just a few miles outta town
There were still a few empty spots, but for the most part it looked like most of the vendors were settling in. Here's a huge impressive Titanothere skull we spotted right off the bat
large polished Australian fern rounds
A nice palm round
a pile of Lapis. At $40/lb a bit rich for my blood but beautiful non the less
something green.. larsonite maybe?
OJ
Mushroom Jasper
bin fulla Morgan Hill slabs
big Sonoran Plume slabs. Again a little rich for me
George from Oasis Prospecting showing off some of Janet's cabs. Great folks to talk with, and of course they had a ton of beautiful RSJ
Christa with a big block of Australian Print Stone
right next to a mongonormous chunk of Tiger Eye
much Peanut Wood
some fantastic Mook
Labradorite owls
Ruby in Fuchsite owls
Rainforest froggie
not sure what this elephant was carved from but it was neat
awesome butterflies
Yellowcat Wood
Gem bone, way too rich for my blood but it sure got the drool flowing
check out the fort in this one!
my beautiful gal with some beautiful bone
grand finale
Well I picked up some sweet stuff but got back too late to take pics, I'll try and get them up this week. We'll be back down there in a couple weeks to hook up with Larry (Gem 'n I) as he makes another trip out from Ohio. I can't wait!
Hope you enjoyed the trip, thanks a bunch for coming along! ;D
