Hi everyone, I found this site last week and have been reading. You all seem like a fun group. Thought I would join in now. I got myself a used 14 in saw last summer and a used cab machine. My husband refurbished both and I have been having a great time ever since. Now I have so many cabs I have to do something with them, so I am learning wire wrapping. Very addicting! Here is a sample of my work. I think this is about my tenth one. What do you think? Do I have potential? Amy Attachments:

Here is another one. How do you put more than one photo on a post? Attachments:

You can hit the modify button, and add a new pic, or you can do like most of us do, and use photobucket. Upload to your comp.,then to photobucket, copy img code and paste it to your postings. This wrap is also really nice!!! very clean.

I have also been having fun with donuts. This one I crimped instead of wrapping it. I don't seem to have photo bucket. And modify doesn't help either. I will ask my son. He is 15 so he should know. Right? Attachments:

Photo bucket is an online photo storage tool you can use. Thing is, if you delete them from photobucket, they are deleted from here as well. www.photobucket.com

Great job on the wire wraps! We don't get too many new members that already have a saw and a cabbing machine, and already on the tenth wire wrap. lol .... Keep posting pics!! Also, photobucket is the "only" way to go as far as I'm concerned, and it's fairly easy to figure out.

You can also go to www.varockhounder.com/upload and post your pictures. But you can only do one at a time. Don't know why it has 5 places. Just click browse...go to where on your computer the pictures are stored...doubleclick the picture....click upload....highlight the url and right click copy....go to thread and right click paste and it puts it there......url starts with img[ and ends in ]img You only have to store your pictures in your computer this way. Also, resize all pictures to under 7" X 7" so people reading won't have to scroll across the page to read or see the picture. Hope this helps, Ken

Forgot to mention that you are doing a superb job on the wrapping. Just one suggestion. You will find it easier if you get some 1/2 round wire for your wrap wire. It will keep the wires tighter together. Ken

thanks, I did figure tat out. I have some 1/2 round silver wire image 105 is done with it. Haven't found any 1/2 round copper yet. Am just using what I have for practicing. I know my wraps need a lot of practice.
I got some photos on photobucket but can't seem to get them onto the reply. Guess I am better at wrapping than computers. Will try again later. (Maybe when my son is here. It's so embarrassing to ask your kids for help. He rolls his eyes and calls me a newbie.)

Love your cabs and wraps. Great job. If you need half round copper you can get it and square from this site www.brandywinejewelrysupply.com this is the only one I know. If these are the first ten can't wait to see what you do after you get use to wrapping. Welcome to the board. Donna

Yay! it works. I used imageshack. teenagers are great. Sometimes. more fun with donuts. I need to work on my bails. Enlarging the photos really shows the faults. (so don't anybody enlarge them, just look at the little ones.) Hey Randy, the first one I posted I made after looking at your tutorial. (the pink agate one) Thanks, It was very helpful. The rest of them I made earlier. Thanks Donna, I will try that site.

Cool! One of these days I need to do another tutorial, I've learned a few new tricks since I wrote that one. They're good for a beginners guideline, but most will develope their own style and keep practicing until they perfect it, but the most important thing is having fun!

Beautiful wraps Amy! Play around with photobucket. I agree with Randy - It's awesome. Plus if your computer crashes, you have an automatic back-up online of all your photos. Don't ask me how I know that... Nate
