Here are the points I knapped today, and in the centre is a paleo blade I found whilst digging agate last week. All the points are obsidian from Glass Buttes, except for the Burns Green obsidian. Woody    Big Burns Green  Weeshan Burns Green  Pumpkin  Midnight lace  Lace again  Paleo blade

Very nice Woody:) I assume they are all really sharp but they sure would look good as leather tied pendants too. BTW Woody I am professional napper:)

Beautiful work! I love to watch knappers! I tried it once........poor obsidian......I did have lots of chunks later!

Obsidian, and glass is so homogenous that knapping it can be broken down to basic engineering principals (almost) as to opposed to an art perspective. Most of my points are done by pressure flaking following a few simple rules. If followed, you end up with a point, if not you end up with a smaller point. I just wish that I had learned this when my eyesight was much younger. Woody
