It's been a while since I've been to RTH, and it's nice to see this new section for artifacts. I have shifted my interests to Knapping and artifact hunting, so I thought I would share some pics of recent finds. I was digging a post hole in the back yard and came across this hammerstone and another object that I believe is some kind of firestone,(used with a bow and stick for starting fires), with the odd looking hole in it. They were about 2 feet down in the hole almost side by side. The hammerstone is worn smooth, with a dark stain on one side, and indented in the top and fits in your palm and thumb perfectly. Thanks for looking!! Hammerstone... Firestone...

I HAVE been thinking that!?! Might have to put in a full, yard sized, in-ground pool ;D Makes me wonder what else is laying just under the surface - there were alot of Indian sites along with a few battles (Fallen Timbers) in this area.
