..sometimes come across a good deal Gave a hundred bucks for this unwanted inherited rock collection this morning. What I'm seeing so far I'm pretty happy with. Here's a few pics The majority of this is slabs, grandpa was a cutter for sure. coffee can full of Owyhee a lot of the slabs in the coffee cans are coated with rust.. I don't know what they are until I wet and rub them Here's some druzy black wood, perhaps from Curt's neck of the woods? can fulla tears some of the slabs so far starting to make a dent 109 outside and it's starting to get to me. At least I have the long weekend to sort this all out. Man there's a huge stump of pet wood in the front that took two of us to load.. I'll try and have a pic up in the next couple daze. Have a happy Labor Day weekend everyone!! ;D

Very nice Beef! Looks like you really got your money's worth and more. It's been a lng time since I hit an estate sale back here. That multicolored crinoid is a new variation to me. If it were strictly black and white I'd say it's Lambert ranch stuff but never seen that red unless it's just rusty coating you haven't yet removed.....Mel

Dang Brian, are you going around knocking off old geezers so you can buy their estate rocks? ;D
Awesome deal! That could be Tx material, but the black druzy can be found anywhere there is coal. When you clean it let me know. I've got a way to really make it stand out.

That is awsome stuff. I haven't been to an estate sale, or even heard of one. Would like to go to one once.

Winding down now, only one more bucket to sort through some organized chaos out in the drive Whew.. now I gotta think about hauling all this out to the back yard ;D Mel there's reddish brown throughout that crinoid stuff (not rust), maybe it's Chinese? I'll send you some to check out. mc2 the tiger eye is gold and blue, yes it blends green. Randy that didn't sound gay at all LOL! Larry the grey container had a lot of thomsonite rough, wood chunks, slabs, dirt, twigs.. you name it lol. Thanks all for looking!

Brian: No one here thinks you might be a fool for parting with that $100.00.........damned luck yes!
BTW, stop at the grocery store, and buy a bottle of Whink........in a brown plastic bottle....it is for removing rust stains from sinks etc, and works wonderfull removing rust stains from old bottles, and rust stained slabs. Woody
