Just finished this tree last night. It's not a great photo due to the snow and brightness of the day. Lapis lazuli leaves, silver-toned wire and lapis rough on picasso stone. The "snow" is sand painted with inks. Eileen

I was carefully studying how the snow rests on the tree and up the one side of the trunk, looks very realistic. Awesome work!!

Thanks, all My first attempt at a winter-type scene. I think there's a little too much snow on the tree, but it still works. I'll post better pix soon as my studio opening is over and I can get a table free to set up some good indoor lighting. I also have a red aventurine tree to post. Eileen

I have missed seeing your trees Eileen! With the amount of snow we have had around, I wouldn't say it is too much. Looks just about right! It is very beautiful! Fran

Your trees are always a treat to see. This one is beautiful and makes me think of BlueJays in the winter. The only colorful bird we have around here that doesn't head south this time of year.

What a gorgeous tree you made, Eileen! Oh and your new avatar is also beautiful Thanks, Adrian! My avatar is a cartoon Lipizzan that I drew. His name is Pluto Boingity. Hrm, his name should probably be Pluto Boingita, but that doesn't roll as well Eileen

Blue Jays! Oh, wow, wouldn't a little blue jay look neat on that tree? Or on the ground? I wonder if I could do one small enough out of Sculpy clay. You've given me thoughts. . . I'm going to think about adding a few birds to some of my trees! And bird nests! Oooo! Bird nests made from left-over wire would rock. Thanks for the inspiration! Eileen
