You put grit and water in the tray, place the slabs on it and let shake around for awhile. Clean it out, go to the next grit and so on, just like tumbling, only faster. Then the final step is polish.

Big Ed-
That's too cool. Please post picts of your final results on the geodes. I can't wait to see 'em. Last summer I got a paper shaker that I want to convert into a flat lap. You've now inspired me to see if I can get it to work.
thanks,
Gaetz

Hey Tim, a paper jogger will make a great vibe lap. If you need ideas, let me know.

Too cool ED- I got a question on the use- You put down and Aluminuim plate with a ruber ring around it- Ok so far- then grit and water then the slab- what keeps the grit from eating away the aluminium?
