Hello, everyone. As my daughter's birthday is coming pretty soon, I made a pendant for her. It is a 3 pieces intarsia, Pietersite and blue lace. The backing is also blue lace. The pietersite is from Daniel - deb, whom I would like to thank again here. Here are a couple of pics from the progress: And here is the finished cab, from different angles: The back is blue lace, on which I glued (epoxy) the three front pieces. I thinned the back slab and it almost became translucent, one can see the darkness of the pietersite piece through it. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Thank you very much, everyone. ...someone needs to do a intarsia tutorial some day on rth ... hmhmmmm I think there are two intarsia techniques: straight lines intarsia and curved lines intarsia (like this one). For straight lines intarsia you need a trim saw and a flat lap. For curved line intarsia you need only a cabbing machine, (some round shape wheels would help) and lot of patiency The most important thing for both is: always leave some extra margins on the trimmed pieces, especially on the sides which are not glued. You can see this in the 2nd picture. Adrian

Thank you, Bob and Garry. Both are you are true masters in your work and I cherish your nice words. Adrian, That is an example of truly superior craftsmanship! How long did it take to complete? Bob It's hard to count the time while working, it seems to be flying faster, but I'd say there was a total of 5 hours. Adrian
