This is dark purple. Why can't they make a camera for dummies like me. I can't get it to show what true color it is. Chief toothpick with choroite(sp.) on it. Thanks for looking, Ken

Is that real? The color is so saturated I would have guessed man-made. That musty have been some expensive charoite! Looks beautiful on my computer screen.

Heck, I didn't know man made charoite was available. Doesn't look like it has the cool flash, but I like the coloring. Of course the craftsmanship is superb as usual.

Adrian, it better be reconstituted. That is what I was told. A piece about 2 1/2 x 2 1/2" was $30.

Oh, that is sweeeet! I carry a knife occasionally when I need one for setting up or out rocking. Any woman would love to carry that purple knife.

Ken if you haven't sold that in the three weeks when I get back from Florida I'd like to make an offer!!!! That is spectacular, and on my favorite knife style too!

Your workmanship, as always, is absolutely beautiful.
However...It definitely appears to be reconstituted material, even just from a photo. It has that texture that reminds me of chicken fingers made of all the chicken feet and gristle, sigh. Just a little too too, if you know what I mean. Too uniform, as it were, like chicken parts that have been through the grinder a few too many times.
It seems to get more and more difficult, all the time, to find something "they" won't fake! And in this case it seems as if the fake wasn't even a less expensive alternative to the real. Yowsers. This gets most frustrating...
