Yung’s Trees A couple of months ago I posted a few pictures of gems created by Yung. Here is a few more. I took several and planed to sort them out but I liked them all and I hope you will to. Normally she makes gem trees about 8-10 inches tall. This summer she decided to give a little larger tree a try. She soon learned as the tree increases in size the number of beads doubles again and again. Limb and trunk support also needs a little more attention. As you look at these pictures I hope you agree with me that she has stepped up on the next step. Nice place to grow a gem tree. In full bloom. The sun and carnelian. A pop can to help see the size. Older smaller tree Fluorite accented with amethyst on a amethyst geode base. 15.5 inches tall. Growing from AZ Rainbow Wood stump 19 inches beautiful carnelian. Rose quartz accented with pearls with blue adventurene leaves all setting on a prime piece of California kyunite. 16 inches tall. Rose quartz pearl accent and green jasper leaves growing from wonderstone at 14.5 inches. Tigereye, moonstone, and emerald growing from a pokadot agate base at 9.5 inches.

What a fantastic artist Yung is! Her trees are breath taking and as Mary Ann said, they just keep getting better.

Super nice. I've seen a few of these in various places. But these are some of the most realistic trees I've ever seen. Must go through one heck of a lot of spools of copper/ brass wire though LOL Most excuisite work. Mike

rocpup, I have a jade tree that looks much like these. (about 10" tall on a base of light green jade with md to dark jade leaves) I bought it at an estate sale in lake havasu arizona about 5 years ago. If I sent you a photo it is possible to find out if Yung is the artist of my tree?

Yung says "THANKS" for all the warm compliments. Yung has been making these trees for maybe twenty years. In the early days they did not look like todays trees. She has taught countless at rock clubs and shows with many returning for a little more instruction on just how to get that look. Well I have never seen them do it yet. Most are not willing to spend the hours she puts into the effort although a couple have come up with a style of their own. But I have to admit she does keep a secret or two to herself. Her biggest creation was for a wedding to make thirty twelve inch trees. A doctor friend was getting married and wanted Yung's trees instead of flowers. At the reception they were actioned off for charity. Yung thinks she has made maybe five hundred trees and when I look around I can only count maybe ten trees around the house. She has sold many small trees at farmer markets but most of her finer works have been sold from home to friends of friends for gifts. There is a couple of trees I have confiscated because she got to deep in my rock pile (but I don't really mind keeping one or two as mine). Her trees have been sold from less than ten dollars to more than three hundred. The ones featured will sell from fifty to three hundred dollars. I do have one request. Take it easy on the comments it is making it hard to live with Her. Don
