Well, this has been my biggest challenge to wrap as far as cabochon shapes go. For about a year I've been on the hunt for a true "Crescent Moon" shaped cabochon, and having no luck finding them. So I finally asked around and sure enough, good friend Jim (Wampidy) volunteered to try the trick of making me one. I, the ebay challenged went on there and bought myself a nice Pietersite slab and Moonstone rough. Jim did his best for me but the Moonstone looked him straight in the eye and told him "No Jim, I will not be a cabochon of any sort!" Had a hissy fit and shattered, this is due to my stunning ability to buy rough. Anyway, the Pietersite was a beauty and she was so much more cooperative, here's a pic of the two before, you can just see the huffy attitude in the moonstone right? So Jim took the Pietersite and out of his diligence and hard work came this absolutely gorgeous crescent moon cabochon Yey Jim!!! Which, I in the past two weeks have attempted to wrap…. Yes, attempted, with success!!! …. the second time around and with way more tool marks than desired. Anyway, with no further a due I present “What You Don’t See” Enjoy! - Krista Front Angled Back

That's a beautiful cab, and your wire work is truly amazing. I'm sure that there's nothing you can't wrap, that's totally awesome!!

Wow, you said that if I could build it you could wrap it and you did a top notch job of it. I am going to steal that photo and claim it as mine. hahaha I am really happy that you like it. I was damn lucky because I broke it and got it back together almost invisible. Did you see the break? As big as it is in the photo I still had a hard time finding it and I knew about where it broke. My jaw about hit the floor when it happened then I said "dang it", "shucks" and #######################. But it worked out and I wasted all those words that I may need some other day. Jim

Amazing! What a great wrap and a great stone! Y'all made a good team. I know that was a difficult cut and wrap. But, you both pulled it off in spades!
