Scott, I saw your other spheres, and I thought, "Boy, you've been busy!" Great looking stuff! Nice second take on the amethyst. I see you're still using picasa, how's that working for you?
Also, what size sphere are you hoping to make with the purple burro creek? Thinking positively, what is the largest sphere you are set up to make? I'll keep my eyes open for you. Jean

6" is the largest sphere I could possibly handle!
I am bizzy! I have a sphere machine now and plan to set it up in my workshop so I can do the rough work from hand grind to spherical. Should even be able to do hand grind. I have a grinder motor and a stack of saw blades to grind with.

thanks everybody! I appreciate the kind words.
That sphere is about 3.5"
I find my spheres are all about 3-5". One reason is the boulder that fits a LFRB make sub 5" spheres. But also, I think that size is very handy for display and also to make. An 18# 6" hunk of marble is tough to hand pre-grind and also to heft into the sphere machine.
I could not imagine doing a >6" jade sphere it wouyld be 25# plus! lol

No Donnie, I have not! Just started on the lustwanite piece I got from juzwuz. I must have missed the ID on that cube. Be sure to post a pic of the lustwanite sphere when it's done. Thanks!

Yeah, Justin. Lustwenite sold in California as Mariposite. Sold in local building materials yards as "green river stone" despite the fact it was never in a river! I hope to finish it next week. Perhaps with some Pyrite from Tim.
