A buddy sent me this pic from a new store opening he went to. He noticed a guy bending over looking through the gravel outside the store and started chatting. He sent me this photo of the gravel I've never found palm anywhere (traded for some and bought some, but never found any) and he's stepping on it in landscaping gravel!

In Sidney,Montana at the McDonalds parking lot,is a huge rock landscaping area........When we lived in North Dakota and traveled to Montana and Oregon,I usually would find an excuse to stop there..LOL Coffee and or use their restroom. I would always walk that rock area and come up with Montana agates, other agates and petwood. Not small pieces either, sizes about fist size and bigger... Also another landscaping place in Livingston,Montana, next to the Subway shop, just off the Interstate.. Full of petwood, agate and some jaspers. I only usually just pick up one rock, maybe two at the most...(Don't want to have the "Manager" come running out and screaming at me)-LMAO... No its not all goodie rocks, really have to look.... Looks like your buddy found some nice pieces there.......I see four pieces that would have left with me..LOL

I have friends in Rapid City, S.D. who routinely check landscaping gravel around their area. More than a few prized Fairburn agates have come out of that landscaping gravel. Unfortunately the gravel pits are all closed to collecting, due to insurance concerns.
