Does the ceramic medium work for polishing copper and silver fired pieces made from PMC? I have been polishing by hand and wanted to know if anyone can recommend the best medium for tumbling.

Marie ( Marie) may have some answers, but I think you would have to be careful and not destroy your pieces.

Never tumbled precious metal clay. Try samples. Best w/tiny silver tumbler designed for using stainless shot.
I just tumble burrs off and create a buff able finish.
Always do acid/patina/liquid coatings etc after tumbling with rotary tumbler. I think it would be difficult to control the amount of wear on any finish.
I did learn to use tumble polished stones/ceramics to mix w/metal. If you use ceramic/granite media that is not smooth it will really scratch the metal up.
The scratches are great if you are looking for a distressed finish.
Smooth stainless is used to tumble polish.
Try a few pieces to see what happens though. You may do a very short run to start.
