Well in a bit of coincidence, I had a request for a commission for a guy for Christmas (there is another thread about stones/wraps for guys that just popped up this week). I was at the dentist Tuesday morning and over the years have gotten to know some of the staff and they know I cut stones. I took a handful of small cabs including one dino bone I made a few weeks ago and the hygienist asked if I could make one for her nephew (18 YO) - we talked about what she wanted, and I told her I had some dark bone with red agate and that I could make a simple "tooth-like" cab and either drill it or find a simple, sturdy wrap for it. Well the wrap is yet to come, I'm still chewing on that one, but I did the stone tonight and am very happy with it.

I want to figure out a way to grind and polish unique shapes involving curves.
That ridge is out of the box.
And the wet alligator skin-out of control John Herchenx

John, that's a beauty! The amount of red is just right - enough, but not too much. It stands out well.
Great polish, too. Yes, wet alligator skin describes it well. A very minmimal wrap would set it off just perfect. A great "guy" stone.
Your dentist's office is lucky to have you for a client!

Yes, I posted in that thread too, the whole "tooth" thing seems good, as long as it isn't too literal (which I think might seem sort of gimmicky)
