If you clear coat and you do it on say, wire wrapped jewelry, won't that make the stone shiny or dull depending on if you use gloss or not? I've been considering investing in LOS but haven't jumped in yet. I'd like to try it with homemade but not sure I can deal with all the formulas and chemicals. I might try the egg method. Also I've heard you have to clean it with steel wool after doing the patina is that correct? A flat or semi-gloss is definitely the one to use Diane. I think the glare would block the colors. And yes, steel wool on many applications. It has a way of being gentle. Most of those coatings are delicate.

Just the word "boutique" sends shivers up & down my spine, with visions of snobbery & "high end" clothing! I like the way you liven & sober things up with your creations & creative descriptions! The blonde gal buys stuff from me for her Sacramento shop. They are far from snobs. I think that there are no people in that place wearing anything but jeans and vintage clothing. It is a younger group Donnie and $300 items will not sell there. So i shoot for a lot of cheaper pieces.

Yippee for them, they have good taste!!!! Wish I could say that for some of the places down here!!! I am sort of like a fish out of water with my rocks & wraps & stuff when everything is fish, shells & anything else kind of sea like down here! However, I am meeting some people & teaching them how to wire wrap, even got a class tonight & the one girl's husband, she just found out, knows about rocks! Surprise, surprise. All is good! Sorry, sort of off subject!!

I'm still looking up those words. Is there an alien dictionary for us? dude, coppernated is the only alien word. But because it has a terran root word - copper - you should get it's meaning... ambregris is a real word.

I just met a guy who loves to hold cardboard signs at Walmart saying:
"Please, no money. Today is my day off!"
"I know you can see me!"
"Need money to repair my Lamborghini."
"Have 4 wives, 16 children, and out of Booze!"
He says he gets the most response from his "Out of Booze" signs.

Cannot speak for his success.
