Hi Tela, yepper its sellable/marketable. I tend to have to agree with radio that the corners should be pushed down. I am not suggesting your piece does not look good, it really does and at any rate you did not want the corners pushed. Like radio said when you are setting your bezel and you WANT the corners tight push them in first and work your tools away from the corners. The first time you do it you will think you messed it up but it will end up smooth. I have been in that situation before, I started setting the bezel not at the corners and ended up with the bezel not tight at the corners. I fixed this by taking a fine file and gently filing off the sharp point. you need to run the file up at a very obtuse or sharp angle. Do this slowly and carefully until you see a small V of light. then you can push down the bezel in the corners and it looks ok. The upper piece, with the bezel on backwards, sheesh, is the first cab I ever made and set into a bought Rio sterling setting. This is one I had to file the corners down to get rid of the puckers (if you ever want to get rid of puckers:)) Wow my first cab and setting and not even 2 years ago, so much to learn, so little time:(

Thanks I tried to file down the bottom corner and filed a little too much. I can see it will take a light hand. It's all a learning process. I'm not thrilled with the finish on this piece. I ordered some different sanding things to try to clean up that excess solder better. It really bugs me.

Remember "perfect is a matter of opinion." You can "perfect" things right out of existence.

Tela I think you are being to hard on yourself, the piece is very nice. I may not have explained that process all that well, you are for the most part "thinning" out the metal so it will push down. I am a pretty innoventive guy that can generally find a solution to a problem, mostly because I seem to cause a lot of problems and have had lots of practice:)
BTW can you link the little hammer you used for the bezel edges, I really like that effect.
Thanks

Thanks Yes, I have been accused of that before. LOL! But, the thing is, this is new to me and I find I learn more by correcting mistakes. Thanks for the tip. I'll try that. Right now, I have 3 pieces partially completed and waiting for something- a tool, an idea, etc. Here is the hammer link. I think you can get it cheaper elsewhere. I have 4 fretz hammers now and I love them.
