This ring style is something I have been playing with for the past few weeks and this is the first one I will consider sellable. It is size 12.5 - 13.5 cold forged iron with a synclastic curve. I used slate black patina solution on the iron and sealed it with two coats of renaissance wax. I added a 8mm carnelian set in a scalloped sterling bezel cup.

LOVE IT! That carnelian really pops! This has a very high end look to me.

So since it's iron did you weld it into a ring before adding the silver?

So since it's iron did you weld it into a ring before adding the silver? Lee #2 This one has an open flex band in the back. I make a lot of my rings so they are open in the back, my fingers and many of my customers knuckles swell on a regular basis and I find by leaving the band open it makes it a lot easier to get on and off and not be too big once it gets over the knuckle. I have fuse welded, brazed and used copper wire to weld some of the bands.

Beautiful ring! I am wondering why this is the only one you consider sellable? The other one also looked great to me.

Rich Thank you Rick, I was more referring to this style of ring and the material it is made from. I just started working with the cold forged iron for jewelry and this is only the third ring. Mainly I have been making wrist cuffs with copper accents.
