Hi all, A friend at our rock club showed me how to make this chain, he says there is a tutorial on Rio's site. The chain is 26 inches long plus the clasp, so about 130 links. The links are made of 20g fine silver and fused into 3/8 diameter ring, then stretched with the Swanstrom link forming pliers, bent in a U shape and linked together. The clasp is 18g sterling. Thanks for looking.

I LOVE this chain, it has a real solid look to it, yet it doesn't seem bulky. You did a great job, looks very professional. How long did it take for you to make?

Thanks Tela, I really like the chain as well. I think it could be masculine but my wife and daughter inform me otherwise. Some of the ladies at work I showed it too say a man could wear it. I think my wife just wants it LOL (I made it for her anyway) and my daughter says a gangster would wear it. I made it over several days in little bursts. I would say there is 4 to 8 hours into it, I know that's not much to go on but I really never kept track. I would say you, being a great worker of wire, would take a few hours time to overcome the learning curve and then crank them out in a couple hours for 24 inches.
Have you fused silver yet, its way cool?

Yeah, before I started metalsmithing with a torch, I used argentium to fuse with. Super easy and yes fun.
I'll have to check out the rio tute for the chain.

You fused without a torch? How did you do that?

You fused without a torch? How did you do that? LOL!!! I guess that sounded better in my head than on the page. I meant before I started actually soldering with a big torch.... I fused with a micro torch.
