A couple weeks back I asked here for thoughts on a new blade, and thanks to several suggestions and a great offer from John at jsgems I bought one. I mucked the saw this afternoon, it was full of think brown gravy from a bunch of Gary Green I slabbed last summer. I had just enough oil left to cover about 3/8" of the blade. Here is the new blade and the saw before I put the blade into it. This us about as clean as my saw gets I have some very hard local agate and it is running quieter and cooler than it ever has, that blade is sweet, and talk about a smooth cut! I'll be running it for a couple hours and hopefully can show slabs later. Well I got a few slabs done, a local plume:

Congratulations! Those blades are quite good. Nice material. It almost looks like there is a wood grain pattern in those slabs. Any chance it is pet. wood?

Oh dang, it might be wood. It was found by a friend in an area I told him might have wood. I did see some pattern on the outside but wrote it off.
It's crazy you can see it in a photo and it is not as obvious in natural light.
