Thanks, y'all!
The host agate looks whiter due to the brightness of the light when I took the pix and the is a slight hint of red in some of it. It's actually a good bit more translucent than it appears - "milky". If it's not Last Chance, then I'll stick with my initial ID - Carey Plume. Maybe the chunk was cut across the tops of the plumes, though I could find no orientation that showed the classic Carey type. It was a pretty hefty chunk - Like 6+ inches on each side. Whatever it is, I think it's pretty mind blowing stuff and pretty darn hard, too. It looks a LOT like a nice, big Carey Plume cabochon that I bought off of a guy on Ebay that has the white bits in the clear and not so well defined/classic red inclusions. His name is Ken Thistle and he labels all of his listings with "TDR" (Thistledown Rocks). C-ya, Rick
