Awesome stash Fossilman....thumbs up! Any indicators as to which ones are worth cutting or is it just luck of the draw to get the killer innards? Also I have been wondering about the patterns on the surface under the m.o.p. - how does one expose the pattern and get the killer sheen? I have a dozen or so I have picked up from the MT hinterlands, need to get them out of the bin do something with them....Cheers Diamond grit wheels and sweat..LOL...I use "Fabulustre" polishing compound, comes in a tube....They shine for years with that product.. You can order it out of "Kingsley North,Inc...."

I have a few Russian pyrite ammonites too,my fav...Plus one Russian ammonite that is nice.. I dislike anything from Morocco, and (or) Madagascar..They flooded the American fossil market and we took a nose dive because of them (fossil prices)...My opinion of course! Yeah, the Moroccan stuff was everywhere you looked...and cheaply priced for the most part. It worked for me, because I made Ikebana vases from the large ammonites and orthoceras plates for a number of years. Huge seller for me. Nothing so bad it's not good for something, I like to say.
