Those are cool. I've never heard of sunstone. Does it have another name? Can you show what the rough looks like?

Those are perfect for faceting, show stopper tumbles. Seems like the fractures could be seen better after tumble polished to avoid when faceting. Looks like there is not many fractures at all.

I found out that by tumbling em first I can pick out the more solid crystals (little or no fracture) for faceting...the ones I sent out to be faceted went thru a little trip on my rock tumbler first

I often coarse grind a batch of agates for a week or two, let them dry, and then address the fractures to see what stays or gets rebroken/ground. That is a lot of stones polished at one time. Why not, it is not that big a deal. Best to have good stuff if investing in facet work. I have heard on a company in Thailand that facets cheap(Lambert ??). Was amazed at their prices.

I really wanted to get em cut here but when I found out the prices...its a little prohibitive

Good luck. Apparently they are very reputable. I envy you. Sounds like a great idea(and investment).
