Congratulations you two. 31 years...isn't that like seven years past eternity?

Mark, trying to remember the conversation you are speaking of. You mean, just talking about the anniversary coming up? Or something else?
Thanks, Russ. Yes , I think it's something like that.
I suppose I should be glad he understated it by a year, and not said that it felt like 50, lol.

Thanks every one for responding and tagging Jean (rockpicker), I think it helped to make her day extra special. We are planning to put our house # on the lepidolite and make a raised base for for it in the front yard. Will post pics when complete. Thanks again Bob Here's a few pics of Bob using the wet-grinder today. A lot like using a body grinder, only wet. You WILL get wet.
Best to use only in warm weather, wear shorts and flip-flops, lol.
After a day's use, you will know if your back needs attention.
As promised, we added our street numbers to the polished, purple lepidolite chunk. Used some uber-reflective sheet to cut out the numbers, and placed those on top of numbers cut from some black PSA sheet. Then stuck those to the rock.
And in the dark using flash -
Yeah, that'll work!

It went something like this-
Bob: "We are about to have our (WRONG NUMBER) anniversary."
Voice from the trailer: "(correct number)"
Bob: "Are you sure?"
Mark: "I am going to go with what the woman says in these cases."
Diane: (paraphrased) "BWAAHAA HAA HAA HAA!!!!"

Yes! I DO remember that, now that you mention it. Good call...
I forgot that conversation, I mean, it was like a couple weeks ago.

Oops, forgot to post pics of the lepidolite cab I did today. About 2" long by 1 1/4" wide.
Rushed it a little, may retouch it later.

I hope you don't get sentenced to 30 years in front of a firing squad for having a rock in your front yard!

Well, they don't have to start until after the end of the 30 year sentence - some one else's problem.

I am coming up on 31 years from my first date with Denise. I remember it well, an ice storm hit and she was stuck w/me at her apartment. Bless her heart.

View from street
Note: my two alien guards!
Southwestern look
Large rhyolite boulder coated with Azurite-Malachite, sits on top of a chunk of obsidian from Obsidian Butte (near Salton Sea)
Green Hampton Butte petrified wood
Large brown boulder bottom right is actually yellow jasper from Indian Pass
Large green rock is from the green monster mine Brubaker-Mann mine near Barstow
Various concretions, fossils
This is just the front yard over fill!

Nothing worse than a self appointed government. That are your neighbors. A lady walked throughout the woods and filed a complaint about my Florida camp. It is AG property and not part of the subdivision, just adjacent to the subdivision. I called the sherif and showed him her complaint. She had to trespass to make the complaint. I asked the sherif to tell her that I would not file charges this time. Oh that felt good. She has the fanciest lot/house in the subdivision. And has caused trouble for other neighbors. well, she quit bothering people after that. Neighbors liked my action.

Pat, that made me so angry. I went to great trouble to leave a thick green belt in front of my camp. Planted tall bamboo to block any possible views. Put a jog in the entrance road so my business can not be seen. That lady opened my gate(!) and walked 150 feet thru my green belt to take notes. Trespassing on Agricultural land is an instant felon in Florida. They don't play. Well, the whole neighborhood saw the sherif's car at her house, and word spread fast. Two of her neighbors had to move their travel trailers to other neighbor's lots because of her complaints. I had no idea who she was, or how many problems she had caused till the neighbors thanked me. I spent hard earned money to have 5 acres so that type of thing would not happen. Granted, my camp is no groomed mansion, but is well hidden. and the toilet sits out in the open about 10 feet from the cabin... and the shower is also out in the open and neighbors have caught me in the buff on numerous occasions and one day a whole sorority pulled in and got out of the car unseen by me in the open shower, man did they leave fast A unique method of obtaining privacy I suppose. Quite effective

Atta boy, James! Seems like there's at least one of those busy-body, can't-please-them types in every neighborhood. Good deal calling her out on it, bet all your other neighbors love you now, lol.
