You gotta love ska for its ability to meld happy beats with absolutely brutal lyrics: You're alright in my book stephan! Fishbone has been one of my favorites for many decades now.

Right back atcha. Yeah, they’ve sure been at it for quite sometime. I was introduced early by a coworker in 1984, who gave me a tape with material that would be on their first EP. My 17-yo self, of course, thought “Ugly” and “Lying A__ B_____” were hysterical. Later, I grew to appreciate their musical ability. The same coworker also introduced me to Queensrÿche.

As you all know- I am a Numan fan. I have resisted the urge to post any of his new stuff. But, he just dropped a new release- Intruder- and I am excited. Of course, I preordered it. I really like most of it. Numan goes through many musical styles. This one is a little Gothy, I think. It's supposed to be an album from Mother Earth and how we treat her. This song- The Gift is sung from her perspective.

Interesting sounds Tela Looked up the lyrics Pretty good
Which also make me wonder I like touring and am fascinated With the Copper Corridor of Az Its pretty remarkable And sort of sad
Now we have the Oak Flat contro Found a mother load of copper About 3 miles down
Its in an awesome fragile part of the desert It will cause a major depression in the surrounding hills Obviously it contentious as its considered sacred ground
Yet will cause economic revitalization for many
Hard to believe our world need that more copper? Geez when do we exhaust the resources ?
I wish they wouldn’t do it… mostly

Thanks Ed. I'm not an eco freak, but I do believe in taking care of the environment. Who, in their right mind, wouldn't?
