I don't do private property, unless that's your thing. I've been rockhounding a few places for a couple years, never know what you find. Check out chestnut grove rd in Brodhead, at the bridge going over the Dix river. There's plenty of area to hunt there. You have to walk past a guy's trailer to get to the river, but I know the person that lives there. I tried to copy a link, might work, might not. www.google.com/maps/@37.4090462,-84.4178119,3a,75y,291.92h,76.33t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sqXJgSFNEI3xqmXaH1NMyzA!2e0!7i3328!8i1664!6m1!1e1

Even at modest few $ per pound, there is a small fortune there. Obviously, there is a lot of higher valued material based on what you took home. Good luck with "continental drift" as those rocks are transported from their current location to their new location.

Hey beefjello , I think the one you picked out is my favorite too. I'm looking forward to going back to spend some more time and look through the rest. Barely got to take a peek around back.

Wow, You know, that is one agate you just don't see all that often, even at big shows like "Q". To us agate collectors, that was always one of the rare agates and here this guy has a mountain of it *L*. That is simply awesome and shows how the local collector often knows where a mother lode of neat material is. It also illustrates why the RTH is such a fine location to go for shared knowledge and pictures. Thanks for the awesome post.....Mel
