I don't know about y'all but this is the update I have been looking for. Except for tinkering and some painting lessons for me it is finished. Had to laugh at myself a few times but it has been a good project. Keep in mind that the animals you are about to see are more impressionist than real deal and could be cartoon characters from back when cartoons were cartoons.
Chose a crow feather because I do not know where to find a raven that will give up a feather and crows are smarter than me.
Either the mallard duck got in a fight and lost some feathers or I should have recruited a five year old to help me with the glitter. Funny story to follow.
This dolphin is somewhat patterned after a Mediterranean dolphin. Painting lessons needed here. Another Welo opal eye.
The flamingo turned out pretty good but I really need some dry brush practice or just go back to rocks.
I drilled into the top of the stick so if I can find a squirt bottle that small I will be ready to spritz some rocks. BUT probably would hold a couple of shots of tequila for medicinal purposes of course.
Top and bottom halves.
When I was putting glitter on the duck I got some glue on my finger so I put my hand between my legs to wipe the glue off with a paper towel I had put there at the ready for wiping glue off of my hands. Past experience. I was in a hurry and forgot that I had the little bottle of glitter in my hand. Sure enough, poured the whole thing on the fabric chair. It landed right on the curve rolling off the front of the chair and I was afraid if I moved most of it would fall on the floor and I still need some of it. As soon as I finished laughing I put my left hand under the edge and brushed the glitter into it. Now what? Tore a sheet of paper out of a small notebook, folded it one handed then dumped the glitter into the groove. From there it was easy to put it back into the bottle. As soon as I finished with the glitter I grabbed the vacuum and cleaned up the mess (I was working on a bucket on the floor in front of me) but I am quite sure that I will be coughing up and pooping out glitter for some time to come. I can wash my hands and a few minutes later there is glitter on them again. Next time if there is ever a next time I will hire a five year old for the job and put them outside.
Happy hounding everyone
