The only thing equal to CCR (the Polliwogs) music is Tommy's set of cabs for this month. Smoking hot Tommy. An artist you be for sure. BTW If you have the fairy and dragon displayed and it is getting dull you can re oil it with mineral oil. Just slather it on then stand her up so the excess runs off. Jim

I'm afraid you've lost me on the fairy and dragon thing. Could be my Alzheimers haha

Sorry Tommy it must be my lack of brain waves. I was thinking that you won the carving give away that I did in Quartzsite when I was there a couple of years ago. Not a masterpiece but it was fun doing the blow by blow on here when I was carving it. Jim

Jim wampidytoo , I believe it was Lynn zarguy that was the lucky winner of your sculpture a couple years ago at Q. At least, that is what I am led to believe from his post just after.
Wow! That was a great potluck. A zillion people & tons of great food. I wish I had met everyone who's avatar I've been seeing for years, but there are a bunch of you I didn't get introduced to. Tony & Chris are the best! Every year they put up with a horde of crazies invading their spot for a few hours. The food was wonderful. Jean's Chile Relleno casserole was to die for. I am a Mexican foodie & was very impressed. I didn't meet Tom from NM, but sure enjoyed the chiles. Beefjello, thanks for the goody bag. I now have an RTH sticker on my rear window. Wampidy, thanks for the sculpture & wood art.The trip out to Planet Mine for Chrysocolla was fun, even though the material wasn't such great quality. I know it's out there, though. I bought some great rough from the same area from Christopher. Maybe next year. See you all next year. Lynn

Not a masterpiece but it was fun doing the blow by blow on here when I was carving it. Definitely not me - I would remember it and cherish it as a piece of art. I remember winning something from you though - it was a gorgeous slab of Lysite agate from WY. Now if I could just remember where I put it...

Nice work Tommy!

Does everything you cab turn out or are there some duds occasionally? Trust me I get lots of duds ... and broken masterpieces ... they all go into the jar I have dubbed the Island of Lost Cabs

Diane said your name when you won and Lynn sounds a lot like Tommy, right? Actually after a life in the steel industry just about everything sounds like ['iu[woej'rlj'as[ou[ej. I may have mis spelled that though. I also missed your post that Jean so graciously retrieved because my internet down there was pretty spotty. I have a basket full of other excuses to numerous to mention so I will reply now and say "you are welcome and I am happy that you are happy". After all, what is a couple of years when you are retired and ........... hmmm ...... uh .... okaaaaaaay ...... what were we talking about? Just a minute, I am going to put in my hearing aids but talk real fast because the battery life can be measured in minutes. I met a lot of great people down there and i wish I could remember everyone's names but it is just a blur now. A very happy blur. Jim

Did you back the Septaitian ? I have a bunch but it seems to crumble when I cab it. Thanks Vic I'm assuming you mean the gray Utah material? No it's not backed - I bought it already slabbed and physically broke away everything that wanted to break and what was left made this big bad solid cab with no stabilizing needed.
