Really good guess, but no. There is eclogite just East of here near where I mine the red selenite crystals. But this is not eclogite.

Going to take a long shot. Kimberlite? Another good guess but not kimberlite either. The first part of the name is garnet. That narrows it down a lot.

The only rock I can think of that starts with "garnet" is garnet micaceous schist. But there's a tremendous amount of that on Earth. If that's not it you've got me.
