I wore my blue lace AGATE ring for a long time until I banged it on a sink.

I still have the one that Jim wampidytoo gave to me.
I am sure he posted other threads on this topic, but here is one he did of a ring he made with several different colored layers of stone: Trying to be humble about this ring
Yes, Jim, I still have it. And yes, I realized a long time ago that the act of you giving it to me did not mean we were engaged, lol. Seems simple enough, how thick is that ring? Also for agate rings if someone was to wear one how long would you expect it to last? the person understands that they are delicate. Zero to forever. If the person is super careful, never drops it, never accidentally bamgs a wall or car door, never falls or drops someone on her hand, may never break. Hazards abound in every day live. Might not ever make it thru the mail either.

Holly molly I am so proud of this ring I am going to have to go buy a new hat. It would not have been possible without the assistance of Tommy (supplied the feather ridge nephrite) and Scott (furnished the Turkish purple jade). Thank you both. I have a new lady and we are already engaged to be friends (gave a ring a while back) but her big 50 is coming up the end of this week so I made her a special ring. I showed her the slabs to see what she thought of the color match and she loved it. Glued it up yesterday and made the ring tonight. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. The slabs glued together. Drilling. The blank. I did not drill the center all the way through then ground the center out with the rotary. Taadaa Drum roll please. I can be such an ass. Thank you for putting up with me and my antics because I am having fun here. Jim

If I did I have ways to make it survive unless the post office just loses the box... I will never forget that -,-.

After you drill the hole, I would have the buyer try it on before finishing it. The wider the ring, the bigger the size.

This one was pretty substantial, so thicker than most. I have had much thinner agate bands in the past, those are very easy to break.

I wore a Carnelian ring every day for about two years before I knocked it somehow and broke it. So I thought it was good value for the money.
