They never came. Sawed the tree down yesterday, meat still nailed to tree laying on the ground last night. Untouched, go figure.
Maybe the gut sack would have at least attracted buzzards.

Got a good friend in Montana,he is 3rd generation professional trapper... He is about 70 years old now, always said that yotes are smart critters, can't even pee in the same area you trap them at... He and a buddy of his,ate a yote a few times, told me it was very stringy meat and tough chewing....LOL

With the wind in your face, and the camera in front of you, call them in. They come running at the sound of a rabbit getting killed. Quite easy in many areas actually.

Lots of tracks and sundown yelping here but unusual to see one. The remains of about every field dressed deer is gone by the next morning though. It is a mystery that they did not eat this bait. Eating a coyote sounds like a desperate source of protein lol. Them dudes must have Cajun running thru their veins.

The locals use a rabbit sound device to attract them. I think it has a hairy tail it shakes for a visual. Cattle farmers invite them to eradicate their problem coyotes. Popular pastime for varmint hunters. I must see several hundred deer/year on this farm. Could count on one hand the coyotes seen in 30 years. And only one bobcat. A few bears. But coyote tracks are all over the place away from the house starting 300 yards.

Did a few yote hunts with Keith-old trapper-we would sit back to back, one with a shotgun, one with a rifle...........His money came from bounty hunting for ranchers and snaring..............He built his own snares, with his small business,he made a good living, between the two.... Now he just goes to the trapping pow wows and teaches and lectures classes.............. Him and his buddy would eat any kind of critter....LOL The stuff they ate would make your stomach close off and say hell no!!!!!!!!! LMAO

Sounds like Rambo. "Rambo could eat stuff that would make a billy goat puke."

The buzzards look like a more trustworthy bunch. Glad the camera survived. They could have had my camera ! However where there is one, there is often more. So they may have been looking out for their own hides. Security aspect of cameras is powerful.

How do birds tell their buddies where the grub is? How about personal body odor ? Ha, just a guess.
