zarguy, we were given a 3lb. Thumlers by an old friend, lid retaining ring missing. I went to our local auto/industrial supply and got a 1/4" [nominal] diameter o-ring that just fits down inside the barrel, I call it a "slip fit", doesn't fall in but free to slide in. It has worked fine for years. Did I record the size, no, 20/20 hindsight.

Hello. I recently purchased a used Thumler AR-2. It came with some off brand belts. I've gone through 4 or 5 of them in less than a week. I'm interested in the ones from the O Ring store as described above. The confusing this is that the recommended model (E70343) has a diameter size of 3-3/4"ID X 4-1/8"OD. I measured the belts that came with mine and they are 2-7/8 ID and 3-1/8 OD. Can someone please help me to understand this difference in size. Thanks. The belt they sell which you will want for your Tumbler's tumbler is model E70343 technical name - 343 E70 EPDM O-ring - 70 Duro - FDA - Black (whatever!) www.theoringstore.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=1fceb774ef6e8a886160ec110ad8502c&keyword=E70343

I'm just a noobie here, but I did stumble onto something useful. My model 'T' pulley wobbled excessively and cannot be straightened out. My Lortone 3a uses the same diameter shaft. I poked around the parts pages at the Rock Shed, and realized that the Lortone 33b pulley and belt might work. I ordered them, and they do work very well. All that is needed is to adjust the motor to tighten the belt slightly.

Great find! You can also use cogged belts and pulleys, 3D printer parts. pioneered by EricD $10 includes both pulleys and a cogged belt.
