I was invited by Bikerrandy. I immediately took to this place. I like that the forum covers so many angles of the rock world. I love how helpful and welcoming everybody is/was. I love how educational it is. I like that there are people my age and older here, no offense to any young people, but I have those at home. I enjoy adult time. It took me a very long time to venture into the offtopic area, but I find that I really enjoy that, as well. I also like that people are so intelligent here, no text speak. And, this might sound strange, but everyone speaks well of their significant others and I really like that a lot. And, last but not least, I enjoy the varied backgrounds of the people here. Ok one more thing... I like that I can live vicariously through other people's rock trips. So, Randy brought me here, but you all kept me here.  |

17 votes so far and no one came from the Facebook pages. They are still pretty new I think, so maybe they will draw folks eventually. Just my opinion but I've signed up on all four FB pages and I think a LOT more could be done to promote the board there. This doesn't have to be a one-way street - losing members to Facebook ... cross pollination so to speak. Cab contests could be promoted, etc. Just thinking out loud here but I've always wondered why four? "Rock Tumbling" seems to be thriving. "Jewelry" hasn't had a post since I posted on 2/1. "Wire wrapping" no posts since 2/4. "cabs and slabs" looks like it has been taken over by Indonesia and Afghanistan sellers. I joined all four for awhile,dumped two... Don't go on the two much either... |

They may have notifications turned off. I joined two of those pages and got tired of getting junk from there in my email, so I blocked all that Facebook stuff.
