Just cranked up the big log cutter saw after 6 months. Yea! Fired right up. Will get that one on those tree trunks. Baby saw for limbs and clean up.
Husky 570-4.9 HP, 68 cubic centimeters, 15 pounds Husky 450-3.2 HP. 50 cubic centimeters, 11 pounds Both with ~ 20 inch bars.
Thought there was much more difference. The 570 must have a high torque engine, lots more grunt on that one.
The chain saw shop makes you sign a liability waiver if they sharpen chains with high aggression edge. It's all in the sharpness. Size don't mean so much.
Funny thing 15 pounds verses 11 pounds. 15 will wear you out after a few hours.

I can feel the diference between my 066 at 16.1 and my 046 at 14.3 after about an hour of cutting. might have more to do with the harmonics of the 066 with the big bore kit though. I like my 240 husky though lightweight nice saw for small limbs or that small job around the yard or for a friend. good saw when someone is helping and you don't want to let them use a big saw. I wont let anyone else use the 046 (no chain brake) and very very few have used the 066. and my 009 I love if I have to get up in a tree. nice balance for 1 handed operation. the 3 stihls ive owned since I was in my mid 20s (and bought used then) they cut around 100 cord of wood each year for the first 10 years I had them then about 20 cord every year since. no major problems so I'm kinda a stihl fan but husky makes a good saw too.

Looks similar to my arsenal notjustone. I have a medium Slihl that had a special engine. Low weight/high power. It cooked. Liked it a lot. Recently, I have been attached to the 450 Husky Rancher. Purchased reconditioned off Ebay for $270. Light weight, fast revving. One nut on the chain bar. 11 pounds. Love 2 stroke engines. The meanest I ever had was a rotary valve 2 stroke in a Sea Doo. modified extensively, triple port, race gas, honda racing pistons, 780 with aftermarket 920 cc top end. Apparently it is the most powerful naturally aspirated IC engine ever designed. Gets terrible mileage and needs clean air. Old 2 cylinder Sea Doo's used them. Pollution and EPA put an end to them. Most are reed valves.
