Congratulations, Cookie, on making it to the 'g' status! Do I understand you correctly that you really don't like the name of the status that you just achieved? I don't like the name of that status either. It bothers me...... alot! Especially since it is displayed with a capital 'g'. To my way of thinking there is only ONE 'capital G', and it ain't one of us! Wouldn't it be better if the title were changed to something more descriptive of us? Maybe something like "Rock Titan", or "Stone Smarty", or whatever! I know those sound pretty lame......but you get my drift, right?
But, to all of you who have achieved the 'g' status, my heartiest congratulations!

Well, how can I say this,
I believe we are children of the One Great Power. I respect the Power as obnipitent (sic) and do not see the Power as being male or female. As children of The Power, we are are entitled to our god or goddess status. It is what we believe and hold as sacred in our hearts that matters to the God/Godess. Life is our gift from the Power, what we do do with it is our gift to The Power. I hope I have not turned off too many of you by exspresing my beliefs. I am, if I do say so myself, an ethical, honest human being. I am also very spiritual, and "practice what I preach" But I don't preach. Everyone is entitled to their personal spirituality and I have respect for what each and all of you hold dear. I hope it's OK that I expressed that ;D

Well, I just had to delete my last post where I claimed to have graduated to God status! Cookie sent me a PM telling me SHE had graduated to God and I thought she said I had graduated! Oh well, I may not be a rock God yet, but I am a plumbing godess! Spent the AM fixing my water line in the RV. Not hard to fix, just not much room to work.
BE and I talked about this God title a while back. To me, it's no big deal. It's done with lightheartedness, no one is claiming to be God or being disrespectful to God, the Creator. It's a non-issue, to me, anyway.

How about "Rock Star". That would work for both male and female.

I like "El Mineral Magnifico (or Magnifica) Mas Grande"
or Divine Crystal Gizmo
or Grand High Chief Stone Sander
or we could change the whole scheme - you start as a grain of sand, then graduate to pebble, then stone, then rock, then boulder, and finally Mountain.
I've got more, but they are all jammed up in my brain. Nothing a good blow to the head won't cure. I'll be back.

Trouthunter, I love your ideas, especially the one about 'changing the whole scheme'! That seems so much more descriptive of us and what we are about! What are those other ideas that are 'tumbling' around in your head? BE

that's a funny visual BE. I could pour the grit in my ear and put my head on the rollers - just to shine the ideas up. Sometimes they are a little "rough". ;D
ok, here's one:
How about progressing through hardnesses. You start out as talc and work your way up to diamond. We'd have ten levels, I suppose, with a rock representing each one. There would have to be some accord, I'd hate to see a fistfight break out when we get to seven and have to choose between quartz, jasper and agate. And at nine, do you say ruby, sapphire, or just get all technical and go with carborundum?
I'm sure we could work out the kinks. By "we" I mean someone smarter than me.
Here's another one: ever notice how a beer keg looks like a giant tumbler barrel? Someone send me a full keg of beer and I'll send you back whatever I come up with. You might get a great new king sized tumbler barrel out of it.
