And my first wire wrapping attempt. [/img] The large orange and square blue stones are calcite. The bottom on is a peacock rock. The black one I got at the rock shop and can't remember what it is. Anyhoo, these are my first attempts at wire wrapping. And, I can't believe I actually did the picture thing right the first time I tried!

Hmmm, the pic shows up on my computer.
Is anybody else just getting an X? If so, I didn't do so good at posting my first pic! LOL!

Hey Llana, what you encountered is how I got mixed up. It never dawned on me that it would look different to others than it did to me. Not sure how that works!
Congrats! You got it now.

Finally! Thanks for the help!
Now I just have to figure out why they are not as clear and sharp as they were when I downloaded them from the camera to the computer.

Nice wrappings, just remember to feel free and relaxed as you do it. That is how I have been doing mine and when I start tensing and my wires don't want to go where I want to I know it is time to stop and take a break.

hmm, it's a toss-up... I really like both of the Calcite pieces... that blue one just has a personality about it... simple, yet bold... Good job on the wrapping... just curious though... where do you get the cool looking wire?

Thanks ya'll. I enjoyed doing them, but think I have a way to go before I get as good as the rest of you!
John, I took a bunch of pics trying to get a better pic of the black one and that was the best one. Tried with the flash on and off, but the glare on the black just doesn't make for a good pic.
The blue one doesn't show as blue as it really it. It really doesn't have any green to it at all, just a soft baby blue color.

I love the calcite. I have a big chunk of yellow and of purple - both too big to wrap, unless I can gently break them up.
I got the colored wire at the crafts store,WalMart has it too. The wire on the orange calcite is just copper wire I got at the hardware store.
