My brother is going gluten free. He had a real hard time finding a decent beer that was gluten free. He is a serious beer connoisseur. I'll have to tell him about this one. Ive had it and it's not bad. New Belgium in general has some decent beers

I miss beer. BD (Before Diagnosis)I used to savor a variety of beers. I don't remember them all... Belgian Abbey Ales and Raspberry Lambic Ales, English Stouts, Foggy Bottom Ale, Not Quite No. 9, something from the War College (?), lovely VT brews... Microbrews, mini-microbrews... sigh. Not so much IPAs, or Bud. AD (After diagnosis of Celiac Disease), I gave away my beer collection. That was a sad day. Fortunately, Angry Orchard hard ciders are pretty good. The wife does reduced to almost gluten free for non celiac reasons. Because of that I look for the red tags that signify gluten free in the grocery and I noticed The New Belgium Glutiny Pale Ale. Haven't tried it and she prefers wine, but it may be worth a look. www.celiac.com/articles/24309/1/New-Belgiums-Glutiny-Ale-Shows-a-New-Way-to-Do-Gluten-free/Page1.htmlI will have to check on that, though I am leery of any of the "gluten removed" products. My doctor told me not to trust them.

I've never developed a taste for beer. I do like Angry Orchard however. Angry orchard has some good stuff. No off-flavors or chemical taste. I like the dry ones, especially "Hop'n Mad", and my favorite is "Stone Dry" which for a brief time i could get in 6-packs. probably the best hard cider I've had is made in Winchester, Virginia. It has a route number on it, i don't remember what number, and they have some flavored ones too, I think elderberry?

I've switched favorites at least 20 times during my life. I'm not one to experiment and I don't like dark beers. Of late I've settled on Pacifica, a Mexican beer, discovered on a trip to Cabo. I have to buy it at State Stores in Utah, that's OK, at least they have it. Back in NJ I was good for a case or two on weekend at our boat. Now I have about two beers a week, what a slacker!

I always go for the "Hefeweizen" at any brewery I visit. Unfortunately a good many of them are not very cloudy which in my mind makes the beer!

Life hack: No matter what you're drinking, this makes a handy tote to get your rocks to the saw.
