You can't see it but I'm doing the "we're not worthy we're not worthy" bow thing. I just love an emerald cut.

One more, this is the first non-gemball (1cent marble)cut I've made, it was a little chunk of scrap lead crystal I had. The pic doesn't do it justice, it really has some sparkle. I wish you all could see it in person. Talk to ya later, Don

Don, that IS Beautiful. You really did a nice job on that! I just like staring at it!! And I'm probably only a couple of months behind you just trying to get my little marble done I appreciate your help, and really enjoy seeing what you can do with this thing. It is inspirational! How preformed do you have to get those stones?

Thanks guys ;D Banjo, that one I didn't pre-form enough. I left a mess of material on it that I had to grind off with the lap lap, a lot of extra work I could have saved myself. Jack had a bag of gemstone preforms with him and they looked just like the finished shapes, but rounded. I was afraid I'd get the angle steeper that the facet angle so I didn't gamble with pre-forming that close.

Those are marvelous, darling, just marvelous! (Kinda hard to type it like Billy Chrystal says it!)
I love the emerald cut and the last one is just beautiful!
Can you do that with just any rock? Like a really pretty one you have tumbled?

Thanks llana, Billy Crystal...that's cute ;D Yeah, you can cut anything you want. I've been wanting to try a pretty piece of Mook or Ridge, but am having too much fun playing with the light right now. I will down the road though. Talk to you later, Don

Hubby's lap-lap came yesterday. (His anniversary present from me ;D). He has already done some reading and has a ton of questions.
