Lapis?

Hi all. My Niece bought these for me and forgot what the guy in the shop told her they were. Are these lapis? The white material in that top stone is layered, like mica, and the blue area is more of a crystal type material.  Any ideas? Ed |

Looks like classic sodalite.
Lapis lazuli looks similar, but has gold-coloured specks of pyrite showing.

I don't know what they are but they are a great find, and I bet they will polish up, or cut up nicely.

I agree on classic sodalite. I have both sodalite and lapis rough and all the lapis has bits of pyrite in it.
