Absolutely amazing! Such beautiful glass, where did you get the rough? I have a few broken vases I've been holding on to, thinking I might try this.

These are really nice! I think there is a point of no return where the zoomed in shot is so close the imperfections show up and maybe zoomed out a touch more they look better. Only on some =)

Only on some =) You are spot on Sax. For marketing they would be on smaller frames in most cases. Lots of bubbles in this type glass. Foreign debris too.

Thanks for the compliments. Most of the rough I fused from a glass blower's junk and throw aways. Some are from vases. Some are home brewed fuses. They were all tumble polished instead of flame polished.

I think you've found the magic formula! Outstanding! The closest to pure white the better as you mentioned days ago. Elimination of white balance of background saves a whole bunch of hassle.

Check out difference sd cool. Same pic just zoomed in for the closer one? Or 2 separate pics? Same photo, one at 320X and one at 800X. Big photos were mostly for showing complexity in the melts for the most part. The mixes of mixed colored glass for the most part. Mix again and re-melting and it just keeps getting more complex. One of the glass blowers I get scrap glass from re-melts and reuses his glass which can add foreign debris and air bubbles. But the product he makes does not require clean clear glass like needed for vases and sculptures.

Nice jamesp. The one thing that I immediately noticed was the lack of shadows using this technique. Nicely done.

Nice job on the photos. Wish my jewelry pictures would come out that good. My point and shoot doesn't do that great but I try.
