Ed, I'm sure they weren't molded. I think they quarried local sandstone into slabs then hand-chiseled the slabs into wheel shape. Sandstone is pretty soft compared to today's wheel materials but it was abrasive enough to cut agate though the wheels obviously wore down fairly fast. It's interesting to see many old ones in yards around the region.

like to know how wheel was made was it quarried and formed ? Gonna need some help getting that in the back of the F150
