OMG - that is the best shirt!
For a rockhound (ie. someone that self-collects rocks) there are so many possible products for under $100, but you need to pick one that they don't already have. Here are a few ideas: - gold pan kit (the one for Garrett is pretty good) - gold paydirt (a bag of concentrates that contain gold) - I like the dirt from Dirthogg best. - a speciality long handle shovel (eg. Lesche) - a membership to a local rock and mineral club - a set of classifiers - I like the round ones that stack, so you can pick the size(s) for the spot. These are screens of various sizes usually made for gold prospectors - bug jacket - A good hat. eg. Tilly - set of rock chisels - feather wedges (if they have a rock drill) - these are getting difficult to find but wonderful for cracking rocks - book (especially one about the area they collect) - magazine subscription - UV light (should have long wave and short wave)

A used drill press for my Dremel. Watch eBay. Typically $30-35 there. According to jamesp and others, the older model is better than the new one.

An RTH t-shirt or mug would be a great gift. Or a rock hammer, a book about rocks, a tumbler, a box of grit, or any of a bunch of different things including rocks. Heck I asked my mom for rocks but she looked at me like I was totally off my rocker...LOL

$5.82 plus tax at Walmart. Makes a nice stocking stuffer!
Those rocks can be hard on your hands, and in and out of water makes finger splits. This'll take care of them.

Yep, Pat . Had to go back and add it AGAIN! I turned my Dad onto the working hands just before TG. He had some nasty finger splits. Using the O'Keeffe's they totally healed up in about a week. (He asked me to buy him another jar of it. )
